How We Price, and What We Will Talk You Out Of
The pricing rule is simple: you get a firm number before anything starts, and that number is
what appears on the invoice. If we open something up and find a genuine surprise, we stop and
show you rather than carrying on and adding it at the end. A price that gets revised once the
technician is already on your roof is the oldest trick in this trade.
The more useful thing to know is what we routinely tell people not to buy.
- A cleaning schedule you do not need. Three visits a year makes sense under
mature longleaf pine. On a newer lot with nothing tall near the roofline, once is genuinely
enough, and we would rather say that than sell a subscription.
- Repairs on failing fascia. On older Ozark housing, re-hanging a gutter into
timber that no longer holds a screw fails again within a season. The honest sequence is
carpentry first - which is a joiner's job, not ours, so there is nothing behind the advice.
- Guards that do not match your trees. Screens and louvres stop oak leaves and
let longleaf straw through, which leaves you with a packed gutter you can no longer reach.
Under heavy pine the only version worth fitting is micro-mesh, and it costs more.
- Foam inserts, anywhere in this climate. They hold moisture against the
trough in a region getting 56 inches of rain a year, and debris roots into them. We remove more
of these than we fit of anything else.
None of that is modesty. It is that a lead-generating recommendation and an honest one are
easy to tell apart over a few years, and we would rather keep the phone number than the
invoice.
