Most gutter repair is unremarkable: one house, one cause, one fix. Enterprise is the exception on our patch, and the reason is that so much of the town's gutter was hung inside the same two-year rebuild after the March 2007 tornado.
Systems installed together fail together. When a run of hangers set at 2007-standard spacing has carried eighteen summers of loading, the fasteners on one house are within a year or two of the fasteners next door. We have had weeks here where three calls on the same street were the same fault.
In order of frequency, on rebuild-era systems specifically:
Hanger pull-out first, and it is a spacing problem rather than a product problem - hangers set wider than 24 inches on a run that fills with water in a Wiregrass storm work the fascia loose over time. Second, seam sealant that has gone hard and shrunk back from the joint; it does not leak dramatically, it weeps, and the first sign is a stain on the fascia rather than a drip. Third, downspout straps that were never replaced, which is why so many of them are hanging free at the bottom.
None of that requires replacing the system. Re-hanging at closer spacing and resealing is a fraction of the cost, and on sound fascia it buys another long stretch.
Reseal a seam or end cap, $75-$150. Reattach or extend a downspout, $85-$175. Re-hang a sagging run at proper spacing, $150-$350 depending on length.
Because the failures cluster, it is worth mentioning if a neighbour has had work done - we can often put two houses on the same visit, and that keeps the travel out of both prices. Enterprise runs on a set route day each week.

Usually not. On sound fascia, re-hanging at closer spacing and resealing the joints solves it for a fraction of replacement cost. We will tell you plainly when a run is genuinely past that point.
